THE DETAILS
Terms & conditions
Last updated: October 26, 2026
These terms describe the use of Honestly Zen’s event planning website and app. Review them before creating an account, purchasing access or uploading content. If you have a question about these terms, a package or a transaction, use Contact us. These terms do not remove rights or remedies that applicable law makes mandatory.
The service
Honestly Zen provides software tools for planning events. Available tools may include invitations, guest lists, RSVP forms, event websites, schedules, tasks, budget records, galleries, exports and workspace collaboration. The features and limits available to you depend on your account, package, administrator-assigned access and valid redeemed codes.
The service is a planning tool. It does not itself guarantee supplier availability, attendance, message delivery, a successful event or the accuracy of information entered by users. A budget record or contribution pledge is not proof of payment. Organizers remain responsible for checking agreements, guest information, costs, dates and practical arrangements.
Accounts and access
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials private and use the service only where you can lawfully agree to these terms. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to manage its account and information. Public self-signup creates a Personal account. Business and Vendor accounts are arranged through the administrator; the optional marketplace is hidden unless enabled.
You are responsible for the people you authorize to access a workspace and for choosing appropriate roles. Do not share another person’s account, bypass permissions, interfere with quotas, misuse recovery links or attempt to access information that is not yours. Contact support if you believe an account or shared link has been compromised.
Free and paid packages
The advertised Free Personal plan includes one Personal workspace, one event, up to 20 guests and 20 gallery photo uploads per account. Assigned features and usage are shown in your account. Guest limits may count the people represented by a household invitation, not merely the number of invitation records.
The advertised paid packages are Personal at CA$199 and Business at CA$399 as one-time purchases, with tax included in the advertised amount. Published package limits and the final checkout details should be reviewed before purchase. Contact us if the displayed amount or package differs from what you expected.
One-time means there is no automatic recurring renewal for that purchase. It does not mean unlimited events, guests, uploads, team members or features, and it is not a promise that every future product or service will be included. The package grants the access described for that purchase, subject to its limits and these terms. Business account setup is handled by admin.
Payment processing is handled through the configured provider. Account access is applied after the platform verifies the relevant payment outcome; a return or success page alone does not prove fulfilment. Do not pay twice because access has not appeared immediately. Contact support with the transaction reference so the purchase can be checked.
Questions about purchases and refunds
For a billing error, duplicate payment, access problem or refund request, contact us with the account email, purchase date and transaction reference. Do not send full card details. Requests are reviewed in light of the transaction, the access supplied and applicable law. These terms do not create a blanket no-refund rule or remove any mandatory consumer rights.
Confirm the intended account type and package before purchasing. An access code applies the features and limits configured for that code. Codes can have restrictions and are not cash or a guarantee of unrestricted access. Do not sell, distribute or use a code without authorization.
Your content and guest information
You retain your rights in content you provide. You give Honestly Zen and its service providers the permission reasonably needed to store, process, display, resize, transmit and export that content to operate the features you use. This permission does not transfer ownership of your photographs, invitations or writing to the platform.
Upload only content you have permission to use. Do not upload unlawful, abusive, infringing or malicious material. Respect other people’s privacy and image preferences. Organizers must have an appropriate basis to provide guest information and should collect only what is needed for the celebration. Review guest-facing questions, websites, announcements and galleries before publishing or sharing them.
Templates, fonts, background artwork and clipart may have their own permitted uses. Using an asset in an invitation does not necessarily grant the right to resell that asset on its own. Do not remove rights notices or claim another person’s work as your own. Contact us if you believe material on the service infringes your rights.
Shared links and communications
Private guest links can provide access to a particular invitation or response page. Share them only with intended recipients. People may forward links or save content they can see. Check general event links, QR codes and exported materials before distributing them, particularly after changing a domain or regenerating a link.
Sharing controls may open an email client, SMS app or social sharing service for you to review and send a message. Opening that tool is not proof that a message was sent or delivered. You remain responsible for choosing recipients, obtaining required permissions for communications and reviewing the message. External services have their own terms and privacy practices.
Exports, archives and backups
Check downloaded files before relying on them. Photo archives contain the stored versions available through the export and may not contain original-resolution files that were never retained. Keep separate copies of important original photos, agreements and essential event-day information.
Archiving an event is different from permanently deleting it. Export information you want to keep before confirming deletion. Deleted active records and historical backup copies may follow different retention processes, as described in the Privacy policy. Do not treat the platform as your only copy of irreplaceable content.
Demo access is for testing. Its data is intended to reset on the configured 24-hour cycle. Do not enter real guest lists, private photographs, payment details or essential event information into the demo. The demo may be changed or reset as part of maintaining the testing environment.
Operation, changes and acceptable use
The service may require maintenance, updates, operational limits or changes to protect users and keep it working. Features can depend on third-party services, supported file formats, network conditions and available account access. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every uploaded file can be processed. Report errors through support so they can be investigated.
Do not overload the service, introduce harmful code, scrape private information, evade access restrictions or use the app to harass others. Access may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service or address a breach of these terms. Questions about an access decision can be raised through the contact page.
Responsibility and changes to these terms
Use the service with reasonable care and verify information before making event, purchase or communication decisions. Nothing here excludes responsibility where the law does not permit that exclusion. A specific dispute, loss or request will need to be considered according to the relevant facts and applicable law; these terms do not invent a universal financial liability cap.
These terms may be updated as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. Review changes relevant to your use and contact us if you need clarification about an existing purchase. The contact page is the starting point for questions about accounts, billing, privacy or these terms.
